Traveling/Dumping Grate Boilers are proven combustions systems with a long track-record. Traditionally used in the generation of heat through the combustion of solid fuels, the system now commonly uses waste and biomass as alternative, sustainable and cost-effective fuel sources.
Traveling/Dumping Grate Boilers:
- Are very common, “old” technology. Fuel is gradually fed onto a conveying system, and conveyed through the combustion zone
- Offer a number of different conveyance methods, all specific for the different fuel types considered
- Generally convey most of the ash out of the boiler as course bottom ash, however this is dependent on the fuel sizing and properties
